Overview

The new Ford Kuga is available in Ambiente, Trend and Titanium specification levels, with 1.5 and 2.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engines or 2.0 TDCi diesel.

The 1.5L EcoBoost petrol engine matches power and smooth responsiveness and allows for superb fuel efficiency and low emissions.

With its advanced SYNC 3 technology it can even encourage your sense of adventure by showing you nearby events and restaurants – a definite Socialite-worthy feature. The SYNC®3 with Navigation systems sold in South Africa have access to more than 20 country maps including: Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. That’s more than 3.6-million kilometres of road and 869 000 POIs are listed.

Another fantastic innovation is the inclusion of Tracks4Africa, allowing drivers to take advantage of the unique mapping created from the collective travel experience of the Tracks4Africa travelling community.

Effortless Parking

Active Park Assist offers enhanced new capabilities. It uses ultrasonic sensors to work out if your Kuga can fit into a parking space. If it can, the system will steer you safely in while you operate the gears and pedals – whether you’re parallel or perpendicular parking.

360° Safety

The new Kuga ‘s seven airbags – including side curtain airbags – offer extra protection for both front and backseat passengers. That’s safety in numbers.eople in the front and the back.

Blind Spot Information System

Another added feature is the Blind Spot Information System. Indicator lights in the side mirrors let you know when there’s a vehicle in your blind spot when changing lanes, allowing you to see more than ever before.

Active City Stop

When traffic is at its peak it can be easy to miss someone suddenly stopping up front of you. In speeds of up to 50km/h, Enhanced Active City Stop can detect if the car in front has unexpectedly stopped and automatically apply the brakes if you don’t.

Adaptive Cruise Control

Cruise Control is great on the open road. But, even here, you can find traffic. So instead of having to turn Cruise Control on and off, the Kuga adapts. If it senses traffic is slowing, it slows. When the traffic clears, it goes back to your pre-set speed.

Other high-tech features include enhance driving safety and driver control, including Ford Intelligent All Wheel Drive, Curve Control and Torque Vectoring Control as well as Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping Aid.
