Each year since its 2012 inception by the eThekwini Municipality, the Durban Fashion Fair has grown bigger and better – and this year will be no different!

Not only is the DFF about fashion and setting trends, but about building a platform for Durban’s creative industries to access national and international markets and take design to retail. Closely aligned with this, it also offers local and international mentorship programmes and goes out to discover “fresh faces” for the catwalk – ultimately putting Durban on the fashion map.

The upcoming Durban Fashion Fair this year is set to take place during the month of August and is proud to have a Fashion Development Programme that includes a mentorship programme enabling up-and coming new designers to learn from the city’s fashion gurus, as well as an international internship programme that selects 10 of these new talents for a two month long internship in the fashion capital, Milan.

If you’d like to join the biggest fashion event in the city and show what you’re made of you can enter today to showcase at the exhibition. It’s a truly great platform for businesses within the clothing, textile, footwear, and leather and accessories industries to promote and market their brands, products or services to a host of fashion media, fashion buyers and lovers of all things fashion.

So, if you design, manufacture or retail clothing, shoes, bags, jewellery, and other fashion items, book a stand at the Suncoast Sun Deck for August 26 to 29. In addition to securing your exhibition space, you also stand to be featured in the DFF directory with a link to your web page and will receive two complimentary one-visit guest passes to the DFF Collective Fashion Show.
