Saturday saw local fashionistas and shoppers unite in style as the latest collection by Forever New SA was revealed in a national Style Event.

Blogger Arum Lilea, The Socialite’s Chia Kougianos and Miss World’s stylist W. Styling & Image Consulting Werner Wessels shared their must-have pieces and style tips for the Vodacom Durban July as well as great pieces for winter.

The Mono Pop collection by Forever New is a chic edit of city-ready styles and features a trendy monochrome range offset with saturated bright pops of colour. Think modern prints teamed with bold colours and you’re ready for the new season.

Colour blocking is made new with contrasting insets, straps and faux layers including the use of sheer and opaque fabrications. Asymmetrical necklines and hems are a key feature while silhouettes are sleek and sculptural. Prints are graphic yet feminine with a combination of sharp lines and bold florals, creating a fractured, post-modernist aesthetic.
