In this week’s lifestyle feature of the week we feature a fairytale romantic era styled wedding set in the Botanic Gardens. Check it out…
Renowned Event Styling was entrusted with the creative task of bringing a romantic era themed wedding set during the 1800’s and 1900’s to life. A wedding of this nature is all about class and grace and calls for romantic gestures of a dainty nature. Marge B met this task with exquisite taste and dream-like elements completely transforming the Durban Botanic Gardens to a romantic wonderland of whimsical features.
“It has been an absolute pleasure and honour working with bride Nana Mzolo and her gracious groom Dr John Nchabeleng, who gave me total creative freedom when conceptualizing this wedding. Most correspondence was done via email as the bride lives out of town, and her serene and appreciative nature coupled with a willingness to support my proposed vision made the creative process effortless and extremely rewarding” says Marge B of Event Styling.
Upon entering the wedding reception guests were greeted with sprawling acres of manicured lawns and flowers which set the scene of the gorgeous wedding from the very start. Enter into the reception area and you would find lots of lace, and sweet-smelling rosebuds.
The classic floral theme for a romantic era styled wedding is roses and sure enough the beautiful bride had roses included in her bridal bouquet as well as incorporated into the table décor providing a truly refined feminine touch.
The decor speaks a thousand words and was steeped in antique lace and vases filled with romantic blooms and adorned in crystals with accents of gold and pale pink. Other romantic touches included candles, vintage styled frames and mirrors and delicate glassware.
There is something particularly lovely about this classic romantic wedding theme as it incorporates elegant touches of gold and plenty of soft lighting. The tables are adorned with fresh flowers and incorporated a spring colour palette. The four tier wedding cake was adorned in breath-taking detail and the cake cutting ceremony was performed by the dashing groom with an authentic sword.
“Team Event Styling wishes to thank the gorgeous bride Nana Mzolo and her amazing husband Dr.John and family who were thrilled and delighted with the outcome of this very special day. This is definitely a relationship that will continue to bloom for many years to come.”
