Hailing from Durban, David studied Fashion and Textile Design at the Durban University of Technology and began a blog to showcase his fashion design collections.

 “In order to interpret avant-garde fashion in the South African vernacular, I re-thought the mainstream fabrication, aesthetics and techniques that are used in the design and production of commercial clothing” says David.

His aesthetic approach may be of an extreme nature but the images speak for themselves with striking fabrication combos and bold designs.

“The fabrication that I selected includes human hair, cotton waste, silk organdy and a variety of transparent meshes and stiff tulles” he says.
