One of the highlights of the raceday at the Canon Gold Cup was the Best Dressed Competition which provided punters and designers with an opportunity to show off their design flair, and the jockey the recognition that comes with placing in the top three in the competition.
The Flag Frenzy theme provided local designers with a great opportunity to showcase their design flair and talents through creativity in the World Cup theme that has captivated the world.
The list of invited designers included Karen Monk Klijnstra (Brazil), Pregasen Govender (South Africa), Kathrin Kidger for Reine (Ghana), Terrence Bray (USA), Madelain Clark (Italy), Brenda Quinn of Diva (Argentina), Suzy Mockridge for Max (Greece), Paul Botha for Ruff Tung (Algeria), Sbu Msimang (Germany) and Nokwanda Ngcobo (Spain).
