5 Minutes with The Race-ist’s Brandon Auret

Born in Springs, Brandon Auret is half French, half Scottish and proudly South African. You may recognize him from his days as Leon “Dup” du Plessis, Isidingo’s much loved cop on Horizon Deep.

Brandon is now starring in The Race-ist, a local film soon to be aired featuring pimped cars, hot babes and blistering racetrack action carried off by an impressive cast of SA celebs. Some of which includes actor Strini Pillay, up-and-coming actress Nicole Smart, DJ Mark Stent, Rhythm City’s Craig Palm, veteran actor Ian Roberts, Jonathan Pienaar who starred in Blood Diamond, former Big Brother turned security specialist “Bad” Brad Wood and Afrikaans pop icon Kurt Darren to name a few.

We paid Brandon a quick visit to discover these fun facts:

1. Last song you sang out aloud? A song called Vacation by Easy Tiger

2. You can’t leave the house without? My iPod

3. The craziest thing you’ve ever done? Got married

4. Who would you want to play you in a movie? Robert Downey Jnr

5. Your all-time favourite movie and how many times have you watched it to date? Platoon, I’ve watched it about 40 times
