It seemed that bingo was once in a terminal decline but these days the game is more popular than ever with celebs–and even the hipsters have got their eyes down…
With bingo hall games such a Bongo’s Bingo, Rebel Bingo, and of course the birth of thousands of exciting online bingo sites, the game has finally had the 21st century update that it needed. This has led to the game becoming more popular than ever, particularly with millennials. Whilst playing bingo has the potential to become expensive, it is still much cheaper than a Friday night out in town.
In a bid to save money, increasing numbers of young people are spending more time at home rather than going out partying, and a great alternative way to fill up your evenings is by playing online bingo. Not only will this save you money on all those margaritas, but it can also give you the chance of winning cash prizes, and there are a number of ways in which you can increase your chances of winning big…
Make the most of online bingo chat rooms
You may be thinking that staying in on a Friday night in order to play online bingo doesn’t sound particularly trendy, or even particularly sociable. However, the majority of online bingo sites have chat rooms where you can talk with other online players. This is a great alternative way of socializing, and meeting new people, and this online space always provides an easy way for you to improve your bingo knowledge. You will find that many of the experienced players are kindly willing to share their knowledge, tips and tricks in these online chat rooms, allowing you to improve your understanding of the game, which will in turn improve your chances of winning.
Consider how many tickets you want to play per game
If you are wanting to win big at bingo, an easy way to improve your chances is by playing multiple tickets per game. One ticket equals one shot at winning, five tickets equals five shots at winning; it’s that simple. However, even a newbie might guess that keeping on top of multiple tickets isn’t always easy, and it can also get very expensive. So instead, an alternative strategy would be to play more games overall, but with fewer tickets per game. This will make the game more relaxed and (possible even to enjoy alongside a glass of wine!), whilst still upping your overall chances of winning.
Set yourself a spending budget
Whilst playing bingo might be trendy now, getting yourself into financial problems definitely isn’t. Bingo is extremely fun, but sadly that also means that it can be very addictive. Make sure that you enjoy the game in a safe and sensible way. Set yourself spending budgets ahead of playing each game, or even write budgets and spending down on paper if this helps you to keep on top of your finances. Hopefully this should be enough to help you avoid any potential financial stress in the future and will allow you to have a better time overall.
The Tippett Theory & The Granville Theory
These two number theories contradict one another pretty much completely. Neither has been fully proven, but they are still interesting and backed by many bingo enthusiasts.
The Tippett theory suggests that as more numbers are called within a bingo game, then the more those numbers will lean towards the middle. As such, if you are convinced by this theory, you should try to choose bingo cards with more numbers close to the median. In a game where the number range from 1-99, the median would be 45. In a game where the numbers range from 1-75, the median would be 38.
Granville’s system, on the other hand, suggests that bingo players should try to choose bingo tickets where the numbers are as symmetrical and systematic as possible. The system claims that there ought to be a good balance of odd and even numbers, as well as good balance of both high and low numbers. Furthermore, the ideal bingo card should, on top of this, have the same amount of numbers which end in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc.
Granville argued that choosing numbers in this manner makes sense because a balanced amount of both high and low numbers will likely be drawn over the course of the game, as will a largely equal amount of odd and even numbers.
If you still aren’t convinced that bingo sounds fun, trendy and promises the opportunity to win big cash prizes, then perhaps you need to give it a go anyway and see what all the hype is about. Each day thousands of different bingo websites pop up, meaning there is a huge range of games out there for you to get involved with. You are bound to find at least one or two that work for you!Bingo nights in could soon become your Friday nights out, but of course it is always important to make sure that play always responsibly, and don’t get too carried away with the bingo manic trend.
