Calvin Harris Breaks his Silence on his Break Up with Taylor Swift
“All hell broke loose when I split from Taylor Swift” says Scottish DJ Calvin Harris.
He graces the cover of the October issue of GQ magazine looking as dashing as ever as he dishes dirt on his public break up with pop icon Taylor Swift.
Calvin went on to reveal he couldn’t help but feel relieved after it was all over and that he found it so difficult to go through the split so publically.
He told GQ: “It’s very difficult when something I consider so personal plays out very publicly. The aftermath of the relationship was way more heavily publicised than the relationship itself. When we were together, we were very careful for it not to be a media circus.
“She respected my feelings in that sense. I’m not good at being a celebrity. But when it ended, all hell broke loose. Now I see that Twitter thing as a result of me succumbing to pressure. It took me a minute to realise that none of that matters. I’m a positive guy. For both of us it was the wrong situation. It clearly wasn’t right, so it ended, but all of the stuff that happened afterwards.”
Die Antwoord are Here to Stay
Die Antwoord have revealed that they’re not splitting up and it all came down to a misquote in a recent interview with Exclaim! magazine.
Yo-Landi took to Instagram over the weekend to say that the journalist who interviewed them twisted their words calling out Daryl on his blunder.
The duo have said they are not splitting up in September 2017 and will release their fourth album Mount Ninji and Da Nice Time Kid later this month.
In the interview Ninja said he is not scared of the end and that he feels beautiful about it. They also revealed in the interview that two other projects are in the works; an art exhibition at the Cape Town Museum of Contemporary Modern Art Africa which will take a look back at their career and a gangster flick called, South African Ninja.
Amanda du-Pont Launches her Own Shoe Line
South African actress and TV presenter Amanda du-Pont has officially launched her very own shoe line with Footwork.
She went on to reveal that she has loved fashion as a young girl and would even sketch as a child.
“Footwork approached me and I was delighted, as this is the first collaboration they have done. I think fashion is just a part of who you are, a way to express one’s creativity. In my case, I am just co-creating footwear that I would love to have and wear.”
“The Footwork team has been incredible in bringing my vision to life. There are a lot of factors that come into play when designing. Can intricate designs be mass produced? I wanted to bring luxury taste at an affordable price range.”
The Footwork x Amanda collection is now available at online retailers Zando, Spree and Superbalist; retailers Stuttafords, Grand Shoe and Kingsmead; and at various independent boutiques.
