Sponsors Drop Ryan Lochte as Rio Fallout Continues
It seems that things are only going to get worse for disgraced Olympian swimmer Ryan Lochte as Speedo and fashion label Ralph Lauren turn their backs after his Rio lie.
Speedo USA said it would end its sponsorship of the American swimmer and in a message posted to Twitter claimed that they would instead donate a $50,000 portion of Lochte’s fee to a charity to help Brazilian children.
This came about after Ryan and three other American athletes, Jimmy Feigen, Jack Conger and Gunnar Bentz were found to have lied about being robbed after a late-night party in Rio. It turned out that the swimmers had drunkenly vandalized a gas station bathroom, paying a security guard about $50 for the damage before leaving. Ryan had told authorities that the car they were traveling in had been stopped by armed men, who held a gun to his head.
Jimmy Feigen also chose to donate $10,800 to a charity in Rio that teaches martial arts to poor children.
The swimwear manufacturer Speedo and fashion label Ralph Lauren are dropping their sponsorship of the disgraced US Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte.
Despite the evidence against him, including CCTV footage, he has however denied that he actually lied in his initial account to Brazilian police.
Jonah Hill Hospitalized from Fake Cocaine Overdose
War Dogs is due to be released in cinemas this Friday and in its wake Jonah Hill has been on a worldwide publicity tour. It’s just come to light that the actor has been ever so careful about the fake drugs he ingests on set for his role after having been admitted to the ER whilst on the set of Wolf of Wall Street.
“I had to be hospitalized,” the actor revealed on “Any Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons.” “If you ingest that much matter into your lungs you’ll get very sick, and we were literally doing fake coke for, like, seven months, every day.”
Hill, who portrayed stockbroker Donnie Azoff alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the 2013 film, developed bronchitis for three weeks as a result of the fake drug used to imitate cocaine, which was revealed to actually be vitamin D powder.
“I never had more vitamin D in my entire life; I could have lifted a car over my f–king head,” the 32-year-old said.
“It’s interesting pretending to be on drugs,” Hill shared. “I’ll use music. I’ll make a playlist for every scene, so I’ll try to make, like, music that [makes me feel] jittery and chaotic … and then just drink a ton of coffee and Red Bull.”
Matthew McConaughey’s Secret YouTube Channel Revealed
He may have been able to keep it under the radar for a few years but all has been revealed now about Matthew McConaughey’s secret YouTube channel.
His last post was just over two months ago and he mainly uses them to create awareness and encourage people to pay it forward. The channel was set up two years ago and hasn’t showed much activity.
A Reddit user first made the surprising discovery last Thursday but no one believed him poor guy. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that the videos only had a couple of hundred views but lo and behold it turned out to be none other than Matthew McConaughey after all.
