Durban couple Willy Govender and his gorgeous wife Vanessa are celebrating 25 years of marriage in true style. The breath-taking décor and modern, sleek stylings created the perfect ambience as guests were treated to a night of elegance and glamour.

It’s been years since Vanessa said “I do” to Durban businessman Willy Govender. Fast forward 25 years to the present and the couple is still as happy as the day they exchanged their vows, but now their daughters and family can join them for a ceremony to remember.

The couple who decided to celebrate the occasion with a stunning do enlisted the help of Durban’s own Marge B of Event Styling. She was entrusted with the creative task of bringing the silver wedding celebration to life and set out to ensure every detail was taken care of in the elegant transformation. Marge B and her design team designed a specialized theme for the couple, including a monogram to commemorate their occasion which was showcased all around the venue, as well as on the cup cakes and sugar cookies.

The magnificent evening was a culmination of the couple’s closest friends and family, who all shared in the love and joy of the happy couple. The stylish celebration included everything from a candy buffet with black Orchids to the tastefully and personally appointed menu including Curry, Stir-fry and Sushi Bars. Guests were served Bellini’s on arrival and there was even a mixologist was on hand to flare for guests and created custom designed cocktails on request.

During the evening guests were treated to DJ supremo Michael Zuma on the decks as well as a live performance by former Idols contestant Lize Heerman. She performed alongside her band and offered guests a night of classics ranging from smooth crooner Michael Buble to a jazzy Amy Winehouse. There was also an exclusive performance by none other than Mo Magic. Fondly referred to as the “James Bond of Magic” in South Africa and has recently launched his own TV show with SABC entitled Magic with Mo.

This is one anniversary worth toasting in style, and what better place to do it than on the East Coast…
