2016 New Year’s Resolutions – the Celeb Edition

From the ridiculous to the sincere, some of Hollywood’s favourite A-Listers have big plans for 2016. We check out a few of their 2016 New Year’s Resolutions below…

Fitness? Check. New Diet? Check. Pulling in triple-digit likes on all of your Instagram posts? Possibly. Whatever upgrade your life needs or summer goals there’s no better time than right now. Your favourite celebrities are even going along for the New Year New Me ride.
We decided to check out what some of Hollywood’s elite have decided to include on their New Year resolution list this year.

Amy Schumer, everyone’s favourite female comedian, shared her sexy New Year’s resolution with the Huffington Post, saying, “I want to sleep with a black guy this year. I never have before, it’s been pretty much all white guys. It makes me feel racist that I’ve never slept with a black guy, so this year, I’m going to try to do that.”

Kourtney Kardashian revealed her big plans in a blog post noting “Since I have made a lot of changes this year, writing down my resolutions felt important to do.” The reality star vowed to “live more in the present and less on my phone,” and to “continue to straighten my relationship with Jesus,” among other goals. Sister Kendall Jenner also posted a resolutions entry on her own website, revealing she was secretly treated in the hospital for exhaustion, and so now it’s her mission to “chill out more” in 2016.

Joel McHale amusingly posted that it’s his resolution to show up for his Hard Rock casino comedy show on January 23. More existentially, “Real Housewives of New York City” star Luann de Lesseps declared, “Best New Years Resolution for 2016: Be cool. Don’t be so uncool.”

Hollywood favourite Drew Barrymore tweeted “To get smaller underwear” and the guys of Fall Out Boy tweeted, “Our 2016 resolution is to eat more pizza,” while Beth Behrs said hers is to “have more adventures.”

Meanwhile back at The Socialite offices we decided we think it’s time for Matthew McConaughey to finally develop a new catchphrase because we think “Alright, alright, alright” is beginning to lose serious steam and time for Hillary Clinton to get better pantsuits in the meantime while Zac Efron goes on to take one shirtless picture every day for the rest of 2016.
