Example has been forced to pull out of his October gig dates including his concert series in South Africa due to an injury. The Socialite finds out more…
The Example + DJ Wire South African summer tour has been postponed until further notice due to Example injuring himself and being unable to walk. The tour was due to kick off in Cape Town on 4 October followed by Durban on 5 October and Johannesburg on 6 October.
Ticket holders can get a full refund from Computicket or alternatively hold on to their tickets, which will be valid for the new show dates once confirmed.
Example’s agent explained that after the summer the star developed Achilles tendonitis and was receiving treatment but over the weekend it regressed; with him unable to walk properly, and he has been advised to do nothing active for a month.
In a series of posts on Twitter, he said: “With huge regret I’ve had to cancel/reschedule all my Oct shows. My achilles tendinitis has got worse and I need time to recover… Hoping to be back to full fitness asap and in time to play November/December shows. Details of the rescheduled shows soon.”
