It is fondly referred to as one of South Africa’s grandest polo events and this year sees the Veuve Clicquot Masters take place on Saturday 25th February 2012 at Val de Vie Wine and Polo Estate outside Cape Town.
This prestigious French champagne House sponsors some of the world’s biggest polo events and has a long history with the ‘sport of kings’. The 2011 VeuveClicquot Masters was their first foray into African polo and the event proved to be a resounding success, enjoyed by SA’s glamorous elite. The VeuveClicquot Masters 2012 is joining Veuve Clicquot’s international polo calendar alongside top events such as the Manhatten Classic, the LA Polo Cup and the UK’s Gold Cup.
The 2012 Veuve Clicquot Masters will be bigger in size than 2011, drawing in crowds who will dress to impress for a stylish day out. Apart from fabulous fashion and a Best Dressed competition, Elizabeth Arden will pamper guests at the Elizabeth Arden Pamper House where their top international make-up artists will treat ladies with their latest skin care and make-up. Ladies will also be able to have their hair curled or pinned by the professional stylists from Be Première Hair.
Some great entertainment is also in store. Guests are invited to get teams ready for the Petanque Boules tournament on the grass, and be dazzled by the internationally acclaimed act Good Luck who will be headlining the musical entertainment for the day. This year also welcomes an ‘Equus Lounge’ After Party ensuring the polo revelers will dance the night away. Equus is well known for their luxurious hospitality offerings at SA’s top racing and polo events. Set in the midst of Val de Vie’s world-class polo fields and luxurious clubhouse facilities, VIP guests can expect a glamorous dayof fine champagne.
