2012 J&B Met Made Different

This weekend will see the annual J&B Met take place in Cape Town as some of SA’s hottest fashion junkies, punters and local socialites descend on the Kenilworth Racecourse. The Socialite finds out more…

It’s the running of the 35th annual J&B Met on Saturday the 28th January and it’s set to attract thousands who wish to enjoy a day of racing, fashion and entertainment in one of the country’s most celebrated horse racing events.

The theme for this year’s event is Made Different, with organisers calling on designers and fashion fundis to challenge the status quo and break the rules of fashion. Make your outfit from something truly different, wear what traditionally should not be worn; whatever you wear, make sure it’s different.

Socialite presenter Chia Kougianos will adorn an original Spine creation designed by Durban designer Thiran Moodley who has teamed soft black leather with black lace to create a striking ensemble.

For a range of race day pics and celebrity sightings pics keep a look out on our Event and Fashion categories for coverage of the 2012 J&B Met.

Tickets for the J&B Met are available through Gold Circle offices and designated tote outlets throughout the country, and at the Kenilworth Racecourse or from www.webtickets.co.za
