The MK Awards 2011 rocked Cape Town in a glitzy, black carpet affair showcasing the crème of South Africa’s musical crop…

The renowned ceremony has become one of the biggest rock events of the year in SA and this year’s award ceremony was no different featuring only the hottest local musos our country has to offer.

Die Heuwels Fantasties dominated on Saturday night walking away with won all four awards they were nominated for including the Neon Award, Best Group (which saw them win a Hyundai H-1 van) and the SXF/Animation and Best Video award for their collaboration with Mr X.

Hosts Corné and Twakkie kept the crowd entertained all night who were treated to live performances by Prime Circle, Jack Parow, Zebra and Giraffe, Taxi Violence, JR, Die Heuwels Fantasties and Foto na Dans.
