SABC 1’s flagship soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful cast members paid a visit to South Africa recently to meet up with fans around the country.
The Socialite met up with the trio to find out more, check it out…
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester), Brandon Beemer (Owen Knight) and Jack Wagner (Nick Marone) gave fans across South Africa the chance to meet some of their favourite TV stars in three autograph signing sessions in Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town.
The trio were also VIP guests to the finale at the Johannesburg Fashion Week which saw renowned SA fashion designer David Tlale showcase his collection on the Nelson Mandela Bridge. His designs were inspired by the city and are accessorised by pieces crafted as part of an Anglo Platinum empowerment initiative that mentors and trains up-and-coming jewellery designers. The talented designer who is notorious for being fashionably late for his shows, kept local fashionistas and the crowd alike waiting for over one-and-a-half hours. Jack Wagner who plays Nick Marone eventually lost patience and walked out while his co-star Jacqueline appeared two hours later amongst a host of SA models sporting one of Tlale’s elegant white creations.
The three cast members also enjoyed a busy stay in Durban which began with shooting at the SABC offices, radio interviews, a quick visit to the beach followed by an exclusive yacht tour before ending the night’s stay at the Oyster Box Hotel in Umhlanga. Their one day stay in Durban also included an autograph signing at the Pavillion Shopping Centre and fans boarded hysteria after spotting the gorgeous trio in the lift.
Cue mob scenes, tears of joy and even taser guns as Shopping Mall security guards battled to keep the growing crowds at bay. And that’s before Brandon Beemer took his shirt off for his beloved fans amidst squeals of delight and heart palpitations..
With more than 35 million viewers daily in over 100 countries across the globe, Bold and the Beautiful has quite the following and this year it sees the popular soap celebrate 24 years on screen.
And with high couture fashion, sizzling plot twists and a host of good looking soap stars it’s no wonder it remains the most watched series in the world…
