In this week’s edition of Fashion Forward with Molly, Miss Molly takes a look at DimePiece fashion and showcases their Look Book for 2011.
Since the emergence of the brand in 2007, DimePiece has been worn by the likes of Katy Perry, Fergie, Amber Rose, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Juliette Lewis, Lindsay Lohan, Khloe Kardashian, The Like, as well as Kelly Osbourne, M.I.A., Rye Rye, and Rosario Dawson among others. DimePiece remains a brand that is one-hundred percent independent and domestically made in Los Angeles.
I have always been a fan of L.A based clothing label DimePiece but I was really blown away by the first look of their Spring 2011 Lookbook – Save no Prayer. Designer’s Ashley Jones and Laura Fama describe the spring 2010 look book as the darker side of the aesthetic fence which continues to convey the concept that reflects the empowerment of woman in a deliberately darker, tainted manner. This season, the designers had a particular and uncompromising vision of translating a woman who is aggressive, yet feminine, angelic yet full of sin.
We really love the darker edgier look – What do you think?
