Last night saw Elvis walk away with the winner title of Idols 2010 as well as a recording contract with the Universal Music Group, one of the largest international record companies in the world. In addition to his record contract, Elvis also wins a new Ford Figo, a Samsung Blu Ray Home Theater System, Yamaha Vouchers for R50 000 worth of Yamaha musical equipment and vouchers for R20 000 worth of fashion from Truworths amongst many other things. In a touching gesture of friendship Elvis and runner-up contestant L’loyd agreed to share the cash prize from M-Net and Ford valued at R500 000.
Meanwhile, Elvis’s Idols single, “Things My Father Said”, as well as runner-up L’loyd Cele’s single, “Thanks To You”, are already available for download.
