The delightful sea-side apartment was placed in the care of Umhlanga-based designer Nikki Rolfe, of Nikki Rolfe Interiors. The result is a stunning creation of rich fabrics and varied textures united through sweeping sophistication throughout.

If one thing stands out, it is the use of gorgeous materials-from the kitchen counter tops and its modern bar-stools, to the use of rich fabrics and lavish materials in the lounge decor that exude trendy style.

The living-room is the heart of the apartment and the place where plane solutions such as simple arrangements freshen up the atmosphere and seem to call out for guests. Exceptional interior-exterior flow was achieved as glass doors and large windows are utilised to encourage the flood of light. The lounge and dining area is open and spacious, complete with light walls, floors and ceilings that capture the day’s sunlight which is reflected throughout the interior. With its natural exterior finishes  and stylish outdoor furniture on the balcony, it is suited to the tranquil surroundings of its coastal setting.

The subtle blend of tones and fabrics continues through to the master bedroom which features an adjacent semi-open bathing area. The main bedroom as well as guest rooms feature a balanced palette of warm tones making use of cushions in dusty gold, rich browns and beige. Interesting accessories and personal touches pull subtle colour from one room to the next to create a harmonious blend.
