The alternative stand-up comedian can now be seen performing live with Bevan Cullinan, aka Gary The Toothfairy, in various gigs around Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town. A familiar face on the SA comedy scene, Glen will keep you in stitches with his contemporary take on British and South African life.
He first began his comedy run in SA, but after just 2 years moved to pursue a career in England. Glen performed there for 5 years and through his Rock ’n’ Roll style of comedy, it has lead him to host various festival stages, both in comedy and music productions.
“I was the first stand-up comedian at Splashy Fen and hosted there twice. I have toured with the Comedy Revolution and just recently started a band” he says.
Nominated for three comedy awards in 2008, and walking away with “best solo promoter” and most innovative stand-up” run up, Glen’s routines are fuelled by manic wit, surreal thinking and a fondness for the topic of midgets.
Never serious, Glen quips he enjoys coffee and eating squirrels on toast and is ‘every bit as Rock ’n’ Roll as Billy Talent’ . Be sure to catch the witty comic this Thursday night at Harveyz and on Friday night at Burn, as part of the Punchlines Comedy Club tour. Visit our Event Guide for further info.
