With their jazzy vocals, fresh sounds and magnetic stage presence they are experiencing great success all over SA. The Durban-based musicians have already graced the stages of Splashy Fen, White Mountain, Mr Price Pro and the Durban July. The Socialite paid them a visit to find out more…
Their latest single, So Spun, has received much air play on KZN radio stations as well as nationwide and their second single Edge of the Line is sure to be no different. Currently sponsored by Mr Price, the Pixie Bennett band completed their first nationwide South African tour which saw them perform all over the country.
The Pixie Bennett Band recorded their new EP album at Sesalos Studios, produced by John Ellis of Tree 63 fame. “The album explores the theme of love, whether it’s being in love or feeling heartbroken. Our first single, So Spun, describes having a connection with someone and becoming spun out. The lyrics were a little red-wine inspired” Pixie says with her signature laugh.
